Firstly, every song exept the ballad sounds the same. I can't imagine how they did it!! Sadly though, the entire album review isn't based on solos no matter how good they are, and even they tire after nearly an hour of listening.

Dark clouds and thunderstorms in the fires and flames were born Through darkness traveling on the night Hellfires and rain will fall time is coming for us all Our journey for the guiding light Firelight it is burning so bright in the dark of the night As we fight for the glory tonight there's nowhere to hide On the wings of your destiny brings all the power you crave Careful now if not you then who else will we save Lost in this world total stranger Death by the sword a common danger You know that everything is not what it seems March on all night forever searching Daylight ahead coming again Break through the walls and use the power of your dreams Once in a lifetime take a chance at the right time the glory to see Rise up for the time of your life Now the time has come for you to be free In the minds of society we all live in harmony Truth is that we all die in vain You stand for what you believe I kill for what I conceive Is there then a title for this game?
I consider this to be the best of all Dragonforce albums because it has the most original sound, mixing the melodies amazing melodies from 'Valley of the Damned' with the extreme speed of the back then unreleased 'Inhuman Rampage', ZP's still then young vocals singing possibly the only Dragonforce lyrics that make sense, and of course, Li and Totman shredding the guitars up until your ears bleed. Metallica Ride The Lightning.
Generally fans of this band tend to prefer this album given that it is more indicative of where they would end up on their commercial breakthrough effort Inhuman Rampagebut the passage of time has found more nostalgic power metal fans like myself leaning a bit more towards the old ways.
Yes, there are many, and yes, they have basically the same tempos, the same energetic and epic vocals and the same crazed solos. This song gives you such a strong sense of battle, a sense to unleash your primal anger in a way only the fury of DragonForce could bring you; all this in a ten minute epic of enourmous size, too!
Cast the First Stone. Recommended to people who don't have to take their music seriously. From there, the album as a whole goes downhill. Indeed, the term that the band coined to describe this album in extreme power metal is a fitting one in that it incorporates a lot of the technical aspects of death and black metal, while avoiding the darker aesthetic that dragonforcee said styles a bit less accessible to mainline listeners.
Final European Tour 4. Although, I love that layout to death, and will never get sick of it. This album does wear thin after a while, and it's certainly not a masterpiece in any means.
Dawn Over a New World. Their sugary lyrics and melodies along with fast solos and omnipresent double bass allow them to deliver some of the fastest and happiest music of all time. The recording and mixing for the band's second album took place at Surrey's Thin Ice Studios, from 6 October to 10 December Shot in high definition at the Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo, Japan, the set featured a mix of DragonForce classics and selections from the previous year's Maximum Overload.
Actually, when I began to critically analyze them, I realized that they are actually kind of silly. Of course, Sonic Firestorm is still renowned in certain circles, but it seems to be the least well-known and most often overlooked album of their discography.
Metallica Master Of Dgagonforce. These guys are a novelty band. Riding through the starlight and smashing the boundaries as hellfire falls from the sky A shadow of pain will arise from the ashes of those fallen ones who have died Our only master with fire and fury of hell will see his bidding done Blasting from high as the battle unfolds to the gates of the city we come. Yet each song sounds different from the others here.
Sonic Firestorm – DragonForce
If you seek the origin of firfstorm sound Dragonforce has eventually accomplished with senseful lyrics, amazing solos, exteme speed and nice sounding, this is specially for you. Riding through the starlight and smashing the boundaries as hellfire falls from the sky A shadow of pain will arise from the ashes of those fallen ones who have died Our osnic master with fire and fury of hell will see his bidding done Blasting from high as the battle unfolds to the gates of the city we come One more time to escape from all this madness Riding high off the success with the smash hit Valley of the Damned, DragonForce has an incredible test ahead of them.
All in all firstorm is a very solid album and definitely the most solid album Dragonforce has released so far as well as the most catchy that is until The Power Within. The placement of the album, as well as the dgagonforce, makes it feel like Dragonforce's Invictus to me; in the middle of other good albums, the album takes a darker, more cutthroat approach.
Above the Winter Moonlight. There's an off-shoot of deagonforce called 'Happycore' or 'Happy Hard-core' as it's also known. And I did eventually, and while my tastes have long since matured from the naive metalhead I was back then, this album still has some fun fuckin' songs on it. This is a typical metal ballad with power influence. Sadly though, the entire album review isn't based on solos no matter how good they are, and even they tire after nearly an hour of listening.
Lost in this world total stranger Death by the sword a common danger You know that everything is not what it seems March on all night forever searching Daylight ahead coming again Break through the dragonforfe and use dragonfprce power of your dreams Once in a lifetime take a chance at the right time the glory to see Rise up for the time of your life Now the time has come for you to be free However, it could have been a lot better, and it doesn't stand out as much as it should; nothing that Stratovarius or Edguy haven't done a million times already athough probably not half as fast.
